Follow along this week in the Philippines.
http://pgta.ph/live-scoring/ Unfortunately, this weeks event in the Philippines was cancelled due to the Taal Volcano eruption. Luckily, no one affiliated with the tournament was affected. The tournament was scheduled at a course 12 miles from the Volcano and the course had serious ash damage and was unplayable. See photos below. The cars had a snow like covering of ash that was stuck to them like glue. A few friends and I traveled 3 hours north to practice and play at Luisita Country Club which was unaffected by the eruption. The general manager of the course has been extremely accommodating to us and we have been able to get ready for next week’s tournament. It was a fun week in Sabah, Malaysia on the Asian Tour. I was unable to get anything going on the weekend and finished 54th (68, 71, 75, 71) (+1). There were a lot of positives to take from the week and I am optimistic that I will piece it all together in the coming weeks. I am off to Kuala Lumpur for an ADT event. Onwards and upwards I am excited to get back at it in Sabah, Malaysia (on the island of Borneo) this week on the Asian Tour. Follow my progress https://asiantour.com/
The last two weeks in the Philippines were frustrating finishing 41st and missing the cut with rounds of (72,72) even par total. On a positive note, in the first tournament I was 5 over par through 10 holes and managed to play my last 8 holes at -5 and make the cut. My tee ball was certainly the main culprit to my mediocre play and something I will be working on during my next two week’s off in Bangkok. |
