really well. In round 1, I played great hitting 16/18 greens in regulation and
shot 68 (-4). It was good enough to get me into the final group where I was paired with
Patrick Sheehan who played on the PGA Tour for 7 years. Unfortunately, in round 2 I got off to a
shaky start and was (+3) after 9 holes. I told myself to stick with it and stay
patient as I knew I was swinging great and could make some birdies coming in.
After making a momentum saving 8 foot par putt on 10, I went on to birdie my
next four holes and shot (-4) on the back nine for a 71 (-1). I
finished the tournament at (-5), (68, 71) and it was good enough for a
T4.
Overall the tournament was another step in the right direction. I
am really swinging the club with confidence and more importantly making a lot of
putts. Playing with Patrick Sheehan was an awesome experience! He was sharing
past stories of life on the PGA Tour and offering me advice.
My next scheduled event is on the Florida Professional Tour on
November 21-22.
Onwards and Upwards,
Josh
