It was a grueling week at Asian Tour Qualifying School last week with 242 players competing on 2 courses. The field was cut to top 140 and ties after 2 rounds then another cut to the top 70 after 4 rounds. I survived both cuts; playing all 5 rounds, only to come up 3 shots short of securing my Asian Tour Card for 2019. I didn’t have my best stuff all week and was really forced to grind out each round. It certainly stings being so close all year and not getting a promotion to the next level. I am trying to remain positive and am not going to let 1 week dictate the way I look at 2018. I am confident that everything will come to fruition in the coming year and I will reach heights that I have yet to attain.
I want to thank everyone who has continued following my progress and those who have reached out to me over the course of the year. I especially want to thank Peter Hood and the members of Bass Rocks for all of their support and allowing me to play and practice this summer when I was home. Professional golf can really be a lonely place at times and coming home to all of your support/encouragement means a lot to me. Happy New Year! Onwards and upwards, Josh https://www.asiantour.com/newsdetails/2019-qualifying-school-final-stage-presented-by-sat-rd-5-results-n52568 |
