events, the Orlando Classic at Grand Cypress Golf Club and the Christmas Classic
at Pelican Bay Country Club. In the Orlando Classic, I hit the ball well in both rounds but unfortunately
struggled getting the ball in the hole. I finished the tournament with rounds of
73, 71 (E) par total. In most professional tournaments, in order to make money,
you have to shoot under par and thus I missed out on placing in the money by two
shots. In every tournament I play, I try to find the positives and build on it.
There were several things that I did well but my scoring clubs were below
average. I did not hit many shots close; therefore I did not make enough birdies.
In my next event at Pelican Bay, I played similar golf
to my previous event but the course played harder and I finished with rounds of
(73, 75) (+4) and missed out on placing in the money by 1 shot. My short game really let me down and thus I gave away to many shots around the greens. This will be my biggest focus moving forward. I need to become more consistent around the greens with all of my scoring
clubs.
Happy New Year!
