In about a month I will be returning to Florida to work on my game competing on the Florida Professional Tour and ultimately preparing for the Asian Tour Qualifying School at the end of January. One might ask why Asia?
With the recent changes to the PGA Tour Qualifying school making it impossible to get your Tour Card through Q-School and the limited spots available to get your Web.com Tour Card, I have decided to take a different route to get onto the "World Stage". In January 2015, I plan to travel to Asia to attempt to get my Asian Tour card through their qualifying school. The Asian Tour is considered the 4th best tour in the World behind the PGA Tour, European Tour, and Web.com Tour. If I am unable to obtain my Asian Tour card through their Qualifying School, I would play the Asian Developmental Tour in hopes of finishing high on the year end money list which would provide me with my Asian Tour card for the following year. The Asian Tour has World Ranking Points and six co-sanctioned events with the European Tour; therefore my quality play would be rewarded and the opportunities are limitless.
All the best,
Josh
