Last week in Indonesia on the ADT I missed the cut with rounds of 74, 72 (+4). In 36 holes, I missed 5 greens in regulation and only had to chip once as it was the only time I was more than just a few feet off the green. I had 36 and 35 putts in both rounds. I could sit here and say how frustrating it was getting nothing out of my rounds, turning what could have been extremely low numbers into a few over par. However, I refuse to be negative or get frustrated and am reflecting on this tournament as the best 36 holes of ball striking I have ever had. I have made great strides with my swing and am more confident than I have ever been.
The last few days I have been grinding away on the greens and really feel that everything will soon come together. I am looking forward to this week on the ADT at Black Mountain GC in Hua Hin, Thailand. Cheers, Josh It was an enjoyable yet productive 6 weeks home getting to see my family/friends as well as being able to work on my game. I would like to thank Peter Hood and the members of Bass Rocks for allowing me to play while I was home. I enjoy playing with different members and being able to share some of my experiences from abroad. To everyone who sponsored and contributed to my career, I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to continue to chase my dream. It really means a lot to me to have so many people that care about my career and want to help. Not everyone in my position has that luxury, and I truly feel blessed for that.
I was able to address some issues on the greens that had prohibited low scores for quite some time. I am excited to finish 2016 off with a "bang" with 3 events still on the Asian Development Tour Schedule. Cheers! Josh |
